Developing Blocks in Reaktor involves particularly dense convergence of many different disciplines. Throughout the series, we will cover many different topics and develop a variety of complete Blocks - a range of generators, effects, sequencers and more. To accomplish this feat, we'll employ a number of tools both within and external to Reaktor - ie Knobman, Sketch (for Design/Graphics, similar to Illustrator/Photoshop) and more. My aim is to establish an understanding of the intricacies of the Blocks Framework and demonstrate a variety of ways in which you can realize your future creations!
Not only that - we’ll be working in such a way as to build, in addition to our blocks, a library of our own macros, templates and other tools to facilitate future prototyping and Reaktor development. In the context of this series, we’ll be treating this library as an extension of the Native instruments Template, but the scope of these macros and tools will reach far beyond the Blocks Framework - most are useful for development within any project.
